Summer at Island Autism: Record 5K, Farmers Market & Community Events

Summer is in full swing at Island Autism! From camp adventures and meaningful work opportunities to community events, there is plenty happening around the Hub House and across the Island.

Our Own Summer Olympics!

Our campers recently competed in Island Autism’s Summer Olympics, with teams taking on games and challenges around the Hub House.

There was plenty of teamwork, laughter, and some very serious competition!

A record turnout for the Flutie 5K

More than 260 runners and walkers joined us for this year’s Flutie 5K for Autism, more than double last year’s participation!

We are incredibly grateful to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Vineyard Wealth Group, our Island sponsors, volunteers, staff, and everyone who ran, walked, cheered, and supported Island Autism.

From our farm to the Farmers Market

Participants in our adult day program are putting their skills to work at the farm and bringing the results to the community.

You’ll find fresh eggs, flowers, Purple Paws dog treats made by participants in our Adult Services Program, Willem’s handmade scones, and Erin Doyle’s “Ganola” Granola at the West Tisbury Farmers Market.

These products represent much more than what you’ll find on the table. They’re opportunities to develop skills, explore interests, contribute to the community, and take pride in meaningful work.
