Family Support Center (MV Community Services)
The Family Support Center provides home visits and consultations,
transportation to off-Island medical appointments, information and referrals to community, local, regional and state-wide resources, assistance when applying for entitlements, seminars, training and workshops, a sensory lending library, sensory-friendly films, and tools and resources for families.

Island Disability Coalition
The Martha’s Vineyard Island Disability Coalition aims to bring together community members dedicated to promoting the full and equal participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life.

Vineyard Independence Partnership
VIP is a partnership of individuals with disabilities, their family members, and friends working to ensure that opportunities for a full life on Martha’s Vineyard are available to all.

State & Federal Resources

Secondary Transition for 14-22 year-olds (Mass.gov)
For Massachusetts students receiving special education services, Secondary Transition is a time that begins when they turn 14 (or earlier, if the Individual Education Program (IEP) team agrees). From age 14 until they graduate or turn 22, students on IEPs receive transition services from their public school districts. 

Adult Services (Mass.gov)
Adult services for autism and disabilities focus on resources that impact all facets of adult life including employment, housing, community life and post-secondary education.

Community Autism Resources
CAR is one of the seven State Department of Development Services Autism Support Centers that covers southeastern Massachusetts.

The ARC of Massachusetts
The Arc of Massachusetts enhances the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, and their families. They fulfill this through advocacy for community supports and services that foster social inclusion, self-determination, and equity across all aspects of society.

Federation for Children with Special Needs
The Federation for Children with Special Needs “provides information, support, and assistance to parents of children with disabilities, their professional partners, and their communities.”
