Thank you to the Island Disability Coalition (IDC)! The IDC enlisted the support of the Rural Scholars to study afterschool programming for children and young adults with disabilities on Martha’s Vineyard. We hope their findings (below) will help spread awareness and support for our afterschool and summer programs.

Thank you!!
Thank you for an amazing auction!
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the donations we received for the 12th Annual Tea & Auction. From items for our auction to food and supplies for the event, and especially to all of you who came and bought auction tickets. We raised $4300 through auction tickets alone! This funding will go directly to support those who need it, through equipment and therapeutic activities.
Thank you to the silent auction donations from local artists Laura Artru, Bob Avakian, Ann Dewitt, Lisa Strachan, Cecilia Minnehan, Kate Zelenka, Kenneth Pillsworth, Francis Creney, Marie Meyer-Barton, Candy Shweder, Erin deBettencourt, Kristy Fletcher, Susan Handy, Cynthia McGrath, Gary and Carol McGrath, Rosemary Jost, Mary Thomson, Janet Woodcock, and Stacey Declerc.
We also are so grateful for the amazing donations of gift certificates from Classic Aviators of Martha’s Vineyard, Chesca’s Restaurant, Offshore Ale, Giordano’s Restaurant, Park Corner Bistro, and Allyson Cook Massage. Other local businesses who generously gave items for the auction include Leslie’s Pharmacy, Vineyard Vines, Katydid, and Chilmark Chocolates.
Finally, thank you to the local businesses who supported the event through the generosity of services, food, and/or drink, including Al’s Package Store, Cronig’s Market, Our Market, Reliable Market, Ann Dewitt, Chilmark Chocolates, Big Sky Tent and Party Rentals, and the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust.
Finally, last but not least, thank you to the many who came to support Island Autism. It was our biggest crowd yet!
Thanks to all for the screening of Intelligent Lives
Thank you to the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival, director Dan Habib, Besty Habib, executive producer Amy Brenneman, and producers Chris Cooper and Marianne Leone for bringing together and engaging with such a large and supportive audience for the outdoor screening of Intelligent Lives at the Beach Plum Inn last night. It’s incredibly encouraging to know we are in the midst of so many in support of inclusion for our friends and loved ones with disabilities on Martha’s Vineyard and beyond.
Thanks also to Kids Included Together, and the Vineyard Independence Partnership for their support!
Huge thanks to the Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic
Last night at their awards ceremony, the Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic donated over $13,000 to Island Autism! Thank you very much to the OBBC for allowing us to continue and expand our support of autistic individuals on Martha’s Vineyard. Over the past five years, the OBBC has donated over $30,000. We are forever indebted and would especially like highlight the generosity of all the boat captains and crew that bought raffle tickets and donated otherwise. We’d especially like to thank organizer Damon Sacco for his continued dedication and support.
Great day for a 5K! Thanks to all who came to support Island Autism Group
